There seems to be a lot of accusations flying around in the ongoing saga of the demise of Unique Performance, and at the center of it is Douglas Hasty, the CEO and founder of the company.
In an article with the Dallas Morning News Hasty defended his actions stating “I have a vehicle for every single deposit a customer has given us” and that he also was in possession of (Read more…)

So it’s boost vs brawn. A Ford Shelby GT vs a 2008 Subaru Impreza WRX STI. This is the contest Edmunds Inside Line has put together.
To be honest I can already preempt who the winner will be, but we’ll just wait and see. (Read more…)

I stumbled across this interesting article about an all electric Ronaele (Eleanor spelt backwards) Mustang.
It seems HST Automotive, K2 Energy Solutions and Ronaele have joined forces to build two green powered muscle cars. That’s right! a Mustang without a V8.
The Mustangs come in two versions, the 300e and the 600e. I can only guess the 600e has more um… kilowatts?
In all seriousness these cars still have quite a bit of power with the 600e having more than 2,000 ft. lbs of torque. 300e’s top speed is going to be around 150 mph, but the ratios can be changed to bump it to over 200. Autoblog says “A full charge (Read more…)

Just when you thought I couldn’t post any more Unique Performance news! CBS11 has reported on some angry former employees of Unique Performance who are owed tens of thousands of dollars. Even after UP had 61 cars confiscated by police Hasty still ordered his workers to continue work on the Foose Stallion and other cars, siting bank delays for their non payment.
Luis Deras, a former assembly technician had this to say. (Read more…)

The guys over at Edmunds’ Inside line have gotten a hold of a 2008 Bullitt Mustang and have taken it for a spin. Take a look at their video review after the jump. Such a great looking car but for me, it in no way comes close to the lines of the original. (Read more…)

Well I know lately I haven’t been posting any updates on my car because basically there aren’t any updates. With Christmas upon as things have slowed down quite a bit.
So this is where we are at. The car has finally had the body kit finished off and all the minor body work issues sorted out. We’re still continuing on trying to fit the side exhaust tips. We used (Read more…)
