Carroll Shelby responds to SAAC license drama

A few weeks ago it was reported that Carroll Shelby and his company were to end their 33-year licensing agreement with the SAAC and for weeks now we’ve only heard SAAC’s side of the story. Shelby GT500KR – The new KITT video & press shots

The internet has been a buzz with information and spy shots of the new GT500KR as KITT in the new TV revival of Knightrider. As you can see from the above image the car has a low stance and very mean looking front grille. The trademark red ‘talking’ light has been built into the bottom scoop and looks great i think. Employees wife takes aim at Unique Performance / Tecstar

The wife of a former employee at Unique Performance has come out firing in an online flaming aimed at the Unique Performance founders mainly Douglas Hasty.

In a comment posted on jalopnik.com the unnamed woman takes aim at the former backers of Unique Performance Concepts and questions the vanishing profits along the way.

Marijuana for Mustangs

Ok I know, a weird title but just bare with me. I’m not into drug dealing or anything. I’m currently reading this book called “Blow“ (you may know the movie with Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz) which is the true story of a guy called George Jung and his life of drug smuggling.

Sammy Hagar’s 1967 Dynacorn Ford Mustang

Well the apparently this is the first Dynacorn body Fastback completed and the guys at Gateway Classic Mustang have put together a beauty.

Sammy Hagar had the guys at Gateway Classic Mustangs create a custom version of their limited release Mustang GCMR model. There will be 100 units sold, starting at the price of $120,000. Sammy’s particular Red Rocker Ford comes with a ROUSH 427 engine that pumps out 560 HP and 530 ft lb torque. Take a look at the video.

It pays to do your research!

OK so it’s a fact! I am an idiot. It pays to do your research and when you don’t you’ll get into the predicament i am in.

So I’ve spent several months and close to one thousand dollars and now we’ve figured out we have the wrong size lights!

Here is where I got confused. I was always under the impression Mustangs used 7″ round headlights and I never knew that Shelby’s had smaller lights of 5 3/4″ lights! And further (Read more…)

Well the time has flown by but 67mustangblog is one year old! hurray! It’s been hectic year for me with this car but I hope you all have enjoyed my posts on the old girl (and old the random stuff in between).
