Yet another unique piece of Shelby history has popped up on eBay, this time is a one of a kind test car that was used to experiment with air conditioning for the 1967 GT500’s. The car is a green 1967 Shelby GT500. Unfortunately the seller gives no further information except that the car comes with a full history and appropriate documentation to back it up. A letter from Carroll Shelby is also provided which verify that the car was used in testing when making the super snake.
The seller is asking $US400,000 which we can all agree is a tidy sum, although for some collectors out there this may be a worthy buy, but then again that much money for a GT500 that was just used for testing the air conditioning? maybe not.
