Jay Leno’s 1965 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350

Jay Leno 1965 Shelby Cobra GT350

I came across this video quite a few weeks ago and though it was just awesome. Among the countless rare and exotic automobiles Jay Leno has in his garage one of them happens to be an original 1965 Shelby GT350.

Most of us would give just about anything for even a replica of one of these but Leno has gone one better be procuring an original one, car #120 out of 562 to be exact, which he thought was expensive when he bought his Mustang 20 years ago for an undisclosed sum. Check out the video after the jump.

The car is in mostly original condition having noticeable paint chips throughout, the only modifications that were done were two pod gauges for safety and a transmission change.

After watching this video it’s quite clear Leno just loves the car. Enjoy!

Leno claims that an investment in a Shelby Mustang is way better than the stock market. Only problem? You can always sell stock, but you can never sell a Shelby.
