
Less than a week after the 44th anniversary of the Mustang the 9 millionth stallion has rolled off the production line. On April 17th the milestone Mustang, a GT Convertible, went to a dealership in Iowa for delivery to its lucky customer.
The Mustang is Ford’s longest running nameplate having been introduced on April 17, 1964 at the New York Motor show. Sales of the first mustang were phenomenal, selling over 22,000 units of the first day alone and 419,000 in the first 12 months. (Read more…)

It seems the guys over at Jalopnik may have a man on the inside, someone who can comment on the Unique Performance federal felony charges we reported on a few weeks back. The reason why we think these charges were dropped points to the 25 odd state felony charges that still remain and Jalopnik’s source gives a little truth to the claim.

Well last night I was flicking channels and noticed that The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift was on. It’s no masterpiece but I don’t mind watching it for the 1967 Ford Mustang running a Nissan RB26 twin turbo engine. Well it may be the last chapter in the Unique Performance bankruptcy case but somehow I think not. CBS 11 news has reported at federal prosecutors have decided not to prosecute executives of Unique Performance and according to the U.S. Secret Service, who investigated Unique Performance for three months, the U.S. Attorney in Dallas has informed the service in writing that it will not pursue the case.
