It’s been a good few months for restorers of classic Mustangs, firstly with the arrival of the new reproduction 1967/1968 A/C Register Kit and now another hard to find rare part is being reproduced, the 1967 68 Mustang Fastback Weatherstrip Channel Retainers. So when I started out with this project I don’t think I knew what I was in for. I didn’t know how much money I was going to have to spend, but as always with me, I love a challenge and I know the money will be well spent. So for those of you wishing to do the same thing as me take note.
Probably the major factor in the cost of such a project is that I am located in Australia. So getting a car here was costly. The car itself, shipping, import fees, agent fees, taxes etc. came to about $AUD20,000. That’s just getting the car here in its unrestored stripped back form as seen here. (Read more…)
Well sort of. One of the members of the Eleanor forum has put together a cool little video of his Eleanor, with a story line as well. The car is running a Supercharged 5.4L with wet plate NOS. The noise coming from that supercharger is just immense. Very much worth the watch.

I had an interesting email this week from one of my readers who was browsing the stories of the 1965 Playboy Pink cconvertible that my builder has. Tony read the post and thought he would email in the pictures of his car. A 1967 Pink Convertible that has quite a unique story to it. (Read more…)
