Australian Black & Gold Eleanor Mustang Shows Its Face….Again

I came across this familiar Eleanor clone today. This is the same black and gold clone that was sold at the Australian Shannon’s Auctions last year and the same Mustang that was for sale a few weeks later at the All Ford Day.

Cinema Vehicle Services or CVS, as most people know, are the Californian based company who built the Eleanor cars for the 2000 remake of Gone In 60 Seconds. After the movie they were responsible for the sale of their very own limited edition Eleanor kit, taken from the original molds of the movie car. Court to Hear Dispute Between Denice Halicki and Carroll Shelby Over “Eleanor” Name

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals will finally hear the case between Denice Halicki and Carroll Shelby and his fellow defendants. In the case Ms Halicki alleges that Carroll Shelby knowingly and deliberately sought to capitalize on and exploit “Eleanor’s” fame from the movie, even though the defendants had no association with, participation in, or connection with the creation or development of the movie or “Eleanor”. SAAC and Carroll Shelby Legal Battle Resolved

You may remember towards the end of 2007 Carrol Shelby Inc cancelled their licensing agreement with the SAAC and bitter legal battle ensued. Almost a year on now and it appears things have been resolved according to an SAAC press release. Check it out after the jump. (Read more…)
