eBay Motors Masters Competition Could See You Heading To SEMA
I came across this cool competition called the eBay Motors Masters I thought my American visitors may find interesting. Basically you put together a short video showing off your skills and if you win you get a free trip to Las Vegas for SEMA to show off your project.
For the contest, automotive enthusiasts and fans of eBay Motors will compete for money to spend on eBay Motors, a trip to Las Vegas for SEMA 2009, and an opportunity to show off their DIY skills by starring in a series of instructional installation videos. To enter, people are making short videos to show off their favorite Muscle, Tuner, off-road or Motorcycle project and tell us about why they should be showcased at SEMA.
Finalists are chosen by the community through a 1-5 star rating system, and Motors Masters will be selected from among the finalists by eBay’s judging panel including some of the top automotive bloggers as well as representation from SEMA and, of course, eBay Motors.
They’re also giving away $1000 to one random winner each week chosen from among the people who come to the site and enter the contest or rate videos.
Even if they did open this up to Australian’s I still wouldn’t rank, unless they had one for enthusiast and project owner websites? Maybe next time.
Anyway check out their cool website for all the information. There’s also a fair few videos up there of peoples projects. And here’s a brief introduction from eBay Motors Head Honcho, Famous Rhodes. Be sure to unmute the video. Now, if only I won a car for this heads up, How about it eBay?
