My Mustang is 43 Years Old TODAY!

Well guess what? Today my lovely Mustang is 43 years old today. That’s right my beauty rolled off the assembly line on December 13, 1966 – one day ahead of schedule. It’s quite good that after so many years she’s still alive and kicking, all beit looking a bit different but a lot better than being shredded for scrap I say.

She still retains her original engine and some odds and ends but here is what she rolled off the line with in 1966:

C-4 Cruise-O-Matic Transmission
F70-14 Wide Oval Tired
White Sidewall Nylon Tired
Firestone Brand Name Tires
Lower Back Panel Grille
Console
Sport Deck Rear Seat
Power Disc Brakes
AM Radio
Exterior Decor Group

The car was built in San Jose and came in Candyapple red with Parchment Standard interior and was car 54,022 produced at the factory. The car was sold to it’s first owner at Robberson Ford Lincoln Mercury (74F459) 2100 N.E. Third Street, Bend, OR 97701.

Now since I Don’t have any priginal pictures I’ll post the pictures of when I first got her. Happy Birthday to my car!
