Well just about every Eleanor fan knows of or has seen pictures of Richard’s one-of-a-kind Super Snake Eleanor and last year I reported about how it was up for sale. Well now Richard has taken the next step and placed it on Ebay.

For those who don’t know Richard’s car has generated so much interest on this site that it is by far the most viewed post in this site’s history. With a buy it now price of $175,000 this car is no cheap buy, though the price has dropped fro mthe firm price of $250,000 that Richard was asking last year. but you can see from the below you’re getting a one-of-a-kind car that will give you lots of attention!

Head on over to ebay to check it and for those questioning the sale’s authenticity, i’ve spoken to Richard and this is his sale not somebody using his photos as you often see. See below about what Richard has to say.

“In 1967, Carroll Shelby built (1) 1967 Super Snake Mustang with a 427FE engine, and planned on building a total of 50. But because of the $7500 price, there were no additional cars built. Carroll Shelby authorized Unique Performance to build 75 additional cars in 2001. Of those, only 16 or 17 were ever finished, making this car a “One Of A Kind” car with all the authorized Shelby parts. It is registered in the Eleanor World Registry as EWR #003. It won the 2007 MOCA (Mustang Owners Club of Austin) Ford & Mustang show with a Class Award and the more important Participants’ Choice (Drivers or Entrants Choice). This is the last Shelby Aluminum 427FE engine built by legendary race engine builder Keith Craft Racing (builder of all the Shelby Super Snake Eleanor Engines) built for Unique Performance. It has been bored and stroked to 482ci. with a T Trim Vortech supercharger. Fast XFI Fuel Injection has been added. It has been dyno’d at 815hp and 733 ft. lb. torque. Backed up by a TKO 600 5 speed transmission and a 9” rear coilover axle. The front end has been replaced with a coilover suspension and a TCP rack & pinion steering. Shelby/Baer 13” front disc brakes and 12” rear disc help stop the beast.

The build of this car has been total documented, photographed and recorded. It started with a 1967 Fastback 289 2 barrel automatic non-Shelby car. With over 1200 pictures documenting the car from tear-down, media blasting, rotisserie restoration, etc over $122,000 was spent on on this car, and this does not count labor. Almost every part, nut and bolt was replaced with NEW items. The only remaining original parts on this car are the doors, glove box door, ash tray and a couple of interior trim pieces. All of this is documented on a spreadsheet, and is available upon request for serious bidders.”
