Ok I know, a weird title but just bare with me. I’m not into drug dealing or anything. I’m currently reading this book called “Blow“ (you may know the movie with Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz) which is the true story of a guy called George Jung and his life of drug smuggling.
Well the apparently this is the first Dynacorn body Fastback completed and the guys at Gateway Classic Mustang have put together a beauty.
Sammy Hagar had the guys at Gateway Classic Mustangs create a custom version of their limited release Mustang GCMR model. There will be 100 units sold, starting at the price of $120,000. Sammy’s particular Red Rocker Ford comes with a ROUSH 427 engine that pumps out 560 HP and 530 ft lb torque. Take a look at the video.
OK so it’s a fact! I am an idiot. It pays to do your research and when you don’t you’ll get into the predicament i am in.
So I’ve spent several months and close to one thousand dollars and now we’ve figured out we have the wrong size lights!
Well the time has flown by but 67mustangblog is one year old! hurray! It’s been hectic year for me with this car but I hope you all have enjoyed my posts on the old girl (and old the random stuff in between).

Speaking of the Bullitt Mustang, I just received these images from my builder of a 1968 Fastback he’s restoring into a 1968 Bullitt Clone. I don’t have much info on it but thought I would post the pictures up anyway.
A new Mustang is ripping up roadways 40 years after a legendary on-screen car chase. Ford have just released the new 2008 Bullitt Mustang.
The 2008 Ford Mustang Bullitt is an update of the 1968 pony car driven by Steve McQueen in the movie Bullitt.
Last year the car chase scene in Bullitt was chosen as the best of all time. The 2008-version goes on sale in January. Ford will produce just 7700 for the American market, with a starting price of $US31,075 ($35,255) .Continue reading
You may all remember the recent post I made about the 1967 Shelby GT350 that was to be auctioned at the Australian International Motorshow. Well she went under the hammer last Sunday and unfortunately was passed in at $AUD200,000 – $AUD240,000. (That’s about $178,000 – $215,000 USD). I think they’re asking a lot for a GT350, I mean I’ve seen original GT500’s go for that price.
Read on for the pictures.
I was taking a look at iblogmustang the other day and noticed Kris posted a nice video of the legendary 1968 Ford Mustang GT390 vs the modern Ford Mustang GT390. It’s a great video from Top Gear’s Jeremy Clarkson who pitches the modern stang against the vintage ‘Bullit‘ mustang. Go over and take a look, it’s well worth it.
But this got me thinking because I remember Top Gear running a ‘History of the Mustang’ segment one day and would you believe it, I found it!
In the sixties many new sounds came to the world. There was the wail of the protest song, the beep from an orbiting satellite, the ‘whomp’ of a Huey helicopter and best of all….THIS!……The bellow of a V8 Ford Mustang
Well the Australian International Motorshow begins next week and as always Shannon’s will be holding their annual motorshow auction in Sydney’s Convention Centre in beautiful Darling Harbour. Last year saw, if my memory stands, a 1967 Shelby GT500 and a 1968 Shelby GT350 go under the hammer.
