Toby's Eleanor Project

Taking Toby’s Eleanor For a Drive

It’s been quite a few years posting about Toby’s project and the ups and downs that go with it. The fact that I had never actually seen the car in person yet knew just about everything about it meant there was only one more thing to do. That was to go and see it for myself. Unfortunately due to work commitments I’ve been overseas for a few years so when I had a chance to come back to Sydney and go and see the car I was way too excited.

[UPDATE] Toby’s Project – Just When You Thought It Was Done

I know I’m always saying how close Toby’s car is from completion. I’ve probably been repeating myself for months and months. But as we all know with restorations like this anything can happen. A few weeks back I posted on Toby’s overheating issues, the last hurdle before delivery. Turns out the problem was not a simple one. It involved buying a whole new engine!

[UPDATE] Toby’s Eleanor Project – Ever So Close

It’s been quite some time since I posted an update on Toby’s Eleanor project. The car has been ever so close to completion for quite a while. This week John over at the shop gave us an update. He’s been working ever so hard all whilst volunteering for the cleanup from the recent Australian floods.

[Road Trip] Visiting Eleanor, Bullit Mustang Replica and The Paint Booth

bullit_roadtrip_cover

As some of you may know my car and Toby’s car are both being restored in a neighbouring state, over 10 hours by car away in the country. So as you would expect it’s not too often that I get to go down and visit John and see what kind of things he has on the boil. But last week I took advantage of a public holiday long weekend in Australia to go down and pay a visit and see what cars John had in his stable.
