Maharajah Of The Road: Paris Gran Turino Documentary

It’s been quite a while since I last posted. apologies about that as I’ve been overseas for work. But now I’m back and ready to post all things Mustang. You may remember back in January I posted about the Maharajah Of The Road which was an amazing Mustang roadtrip through India. Well unfortunately there’s still no word on that documentary however the documentary trailer for the second installment of ‘Maharajah Of The Road: Paris To Gran Turino’ has now been released. Departing from Paris, the drivers snaked through rural France, encountering vineyards and beautiful scenery in out-of-the way places. Crossing the Alps they eventually made their way into Italy. After arriving in Turin, heart of the design and automotive industry, they were surprised to be met by the famous Pininfarina and Giugiaro Design, where they were treated to a unique and memorable tour of high-end automobile manufacturers projects including Ferrari, Maserati, Rolls-Royce and more. Again the roadtrip included the same faces such as muscle car collector Bassam Abdallah and Ford designer Michael Chetcuti and was undertaken in April of 2009 quite soon after the India road trip. The trailer can be watched HERE. Yet again this is another documentary I just cannot wait for. I’m also waiting for my invite to the next road trip. Must be in the mail. Check out the site for all the details and some great photos by clicking on the day numbers. Maharajah Of The Road]]>

  1. You got a nice picture of the car and the Eiffel Tower. Although 1967 Ford Mustang Shelby GT500 looked interesting, 780hp Shelby G.T.500CR Venom looked very nice. I hope there will more road trips in the near future.

  2. In all due respect isn’t it TORINO (spelled with an 0). This is not a dig, I’m a former owner of 1970 Cobra Torino SCJ-429. Thanks & great site!
